Pina began forging this integral chef's knife beginning with 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. The bold Ws pattern damascus is immediately captivating and draws attention for closer examination. Because this knife is forged from carbon steels, we recommend camellia oil to avoid rust and oxidation. By forging closely to shape, he ensures optimal grain structure for a keen, long lasting edge.
The bolster is fully integral to the blade. This technique has superior structural integrity and requires a particularly talented smith.
Presentation grade curly koa handle scales are set on the full tang, ensuring strength and durability. The integral bolster brings weight back into the handle. This knife is so comfortable, you won't want to put it down! Like other knives, this knife should not be put in the dishwasher.
