They have become exceptionally popular among chefs. These steak knives will be the perfect table companions while hosting guests for barbecue and steaks.
The blade is 52100 carbon steel with a burgundy Cerekote finish. 52100 is considered by many knifemakers and knife users to be among the best steels (if not the best!) used in modern knifemaking. It combines exceptional edge holding with durability and ease of sharpening. Many thermal cycles and normalizing steps ensure consistent grain structure. Triple tempering at 400 degrees results in exceptional durability. A cryogenic treatment between temper cycles enhances the edge holding ability.
Handle scales are black G-10 set on a full tang using torx screws. The handles are inspired by Japanese ambidextrous octagonal handles. The handles are very comfortable and will hold up well in both the home and commercial kitchen. Like other knives, this knife should not be put in the dishwasher.
