Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a sense of design that results in an exceptional knife. The stacked handle on this traditional Swedish Puukko fits securely and comfortably in the hand. The main part of the handle is formed from stabilized masur birch with a large central section of sculpted fossil mammoth ivory. The mammoth ivory nicely shows the grain structure inherent to the ivory. Pewter spacers are hand fileworked. Two spacers created from extremely rare musk ox horn bring tremendous interest to the knife. The handle is finished off with a butt cap formed from stabilized giraffe bone.
The blade is formed from stainless Damascus by Damasteel. The pattern is immediately captivating and the blade will have exceptional edge holding. Excellent fit and finish throughout and one of the most impressive works by Greger Forselius to date!
