Description: Steller's Sea Cow and Damascus Bowie is an exceptional knife. The 7 2/3" blade has a bold twist pattern moving through the Damascus. The long clip brings an elegance to the shape. The oval bronze guard has been antiqued and is finished with an antiqued copper ferrule. The handle is formed from bone from Steller's sea cow, which became extinct in 1768. This bone has beautiful texture similar to ivory and deep caramel tones. A buffalo horn spacer adds nice contrast. The pommel is formed from antiqued bronze and has been meticulously textured. Accompanied by goat skin wrapped basswood sheath.
Knives like this make it clear why the Bowie has caught the heart of knife collectors both in America and abroad. Perfect balance and excellent fit and finish throughout.
