Description: This dramatic variation on the classic Pronghorn Hunter shows the influence of knives by Mastersmith Ed Fowler.
Like knives by Mastersmiths Bill Burke and Ed Fowler, this knife was pre-tested for edge flex and cutting ability before assembly. The heat treatment follows the formulas developed by Fowler and Burke -- a technique that has proven to create some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere. The clip point blade has strong differential heat treatment lines. The blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel. Many makers and collectors feel that this is the best steel available anywhere for use as a knife blade.
The handle is formed from a solid section of hippo tooth and is nicely shaped to comfortably fit in the hand. The fossil oosic spacer provides contrast. The handle feels so natural in the hand, you’ll have a hard time putting it down. A serious field knife for the avid hunter or collector.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
