Description: This dramatic, clip point fighter shows the influence of knives by Mastersmiths Ed Fowler and Bill Burke.
The recurve, clip point blade was forged to shape from Aaron's own feather pattern damascus. The steel combines two different steels to create one of the most captivating patterns that I have seen in quite some time. By forging the blade to shape, Aaron makes the damascus radiate from a central "quill". The blade meets with ricasso in an elegant Spanish notch.
The handle combines warm toned desert ironwood with sambar stag. Stag of this quality and size has become increasingly rare. The nickel pommel has been carved to match the shape and texture of the stag. Alternating nickel and black fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle feels so natural in the hand, you’ll have a hard time putting it down.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched sheath. The 9-10oz leather has been hand tooled and inlaid with natural sting ray.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
