Description: The curved blade of a bird's beak paring knife is perfect for peeling, garnishing and decorating -- from apple coring to zucchini peeling, and a lot of small jobs in-between. This knife, also known as a tourne knife, is used to create an oblong-shaped cut for vegetables such as carrots, potatoes or squash that provides a distinctive and consistent appearance to the food item being served
The Four Seasons series feature stamped blades of high carbon, molybdenum vanadium no-stain (stainless) tool steel. Designed for the rigors of restaurant and commercial kitchens, the handles are made of Santoprene molded directly to a three-quarter tang for balance and strength. Great knives for the economically-minded.
