Description: This dramatic variation on the classic Pronghorn Hunter shows the influence of knives by Mastersmiths Bill Burke and Ed Fowler.
Like knives by Burke and Fowler, this knife was pre-tested for edge flex and cutting ability before assembly. The heat treatment follows the formula developed by Fowler and Burke -- a technique that has proven to create some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere. The drop point blade has strong differential heat treatment lines. The blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel. Many makers and collectors feel that this is the best steel available anywhere for use as a knife blade.
The handle is formed from a solid section of rare hippo tooth. Aaron has worked with the natural shape of the raw material, which comfortably fits in the hand. Black fiber and nickel silver spacers add contrast and assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle feels so natural in the hand, you’ll have a hard time putting it down. A serious field knife for the avid hunter or collector.
Excellent fit and finish throughout.
