Description: I love folders that have a cohesive theme. This is one of Cliff's best knives to date. Captivating, detailed images of a tortoise are combined with exhibition grade tortoise shell scales to make a knife you won't want to put down.
Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is super-smooth and blade perfectly centered. He has created a very sleek profiled liner lock folder with a total thickness of .2". Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff spent considerable time over the past years testing and experimenting with his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible.
The sharp-tipped blade is forged from laddered damascus. The precision forged steel has exceptional chatoyancy, making the pattern appear to change as the knife is turned in the light. The bolsters meet perfectly to the very rare, exhibition grade tortoise shell scales. The dark toned scales are set on 24kt gold leaf, resulting in a dramatic iridescence. Gold anodized titanium liners keep the knife light and strong. These have been fully fileworked and surround the damascus backbar.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
