Description: Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is silky smooth and blade perfectly centered. Here, he has created a folder that has one of the sleekest profiles imaginable -- while also being one of the longer knives that he has made. Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff has spent considerable time over the past several years testing his designs and experimenting with new ideas to create a knife that remains sturdy, but has as low a profile as possible.
Cliff began by forging the steel for the blade and bolsters. The high contrast pattern immediately grabs attention from a distance and holds it upon closer examination. Exhibition grade ancient walrus ivory scales meet perfectly to the bolsters and are set on fully fileworked, anodized titanium liners. Matching damascus backbar. Exceptional work throughout!
