Description: I love folders that have a cohesive theme. This is among Cliff's best knives to date. Captivating, detailed images of a hippopotamus are combined with hippo tooth scales to make a knife you won't want to put down.
Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is super-smooth and blade perfectly centered. He has created a very sleek profiled liner lock folder with a total thickness of .28". Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff spent considerable time over the past years testing and experimenting with his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible.
The blade is formed from damascus steel. The swirling, undulating pattern is created by his hand forging process. The bolsters meet perfectly to the cream toned hippo tooth scales. Radiated stars surround a mosaic image of a hippopotamus -- all forged directly into the steel. Anodized titanium liners are meticulous hand fileworked in a vine pattern.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout! Silky-smooth action with a perfectly centered blade and no blade play.
