Description: Cliff Parker has become well known for creating some of the thinnest and most detailed knives found anywhere. His attention to detail allows him to work with much tighter tolerances than found in other makers. This folder measures .3 inches across the handle.
The highly complex mosaic Damascus blade features detailed images of stars, twisted on the damascus backdrop as though set on a flag and buffeted by wind. The blade is perfectly centered and has silky smooth action.
Front and rear bolsters are formed from Gibeon meteorite. The Gibeon meteorite landed in Great Namaqualand, Namibia, Africa and radio carbon dates to over 4 billion years old. Its fragments are spread over one of the largest strewn fields in the world, measuring 70 miles wide by 230 miles long and have a distinctive pattern known as the Widmanstatten pattern -- one of the richest and most distinctive patterns found in meteorites.
Mammoth ivory scales are presentation grade and combine blue/gray and caramel tones. Fileworked screws are used throughout. Titanium liners have been meticulously hand fileworked in a vine pattern and anodized to a deep blue tone. The backbar is formed from matching Damascus.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
