Description: John Leitch's paring knives will feel as at home in a collection as they will used in the kitchen. The A2 carbon steel blade was etched with a relief for his maker's mark. This results in a "damascene" pattern that has made his work well known. The A2 carbon steel blade was heat treated by Paul Bos to Rc 59 and will have exceptional edge holding.
The fit between nickel silver bolsters and African blackwood scales is excellent -- without a perceptible seam. The African blackwood is set on a full tang for strength and durability and set with five nickel silver pins. Exceptional work throughout!
