Description: The Sgain Achlais is a small Scottish knife that was traditionally worn concealed under the arm. Bladesmith Fred Ott created his own version of this elegant historic knife.
The blade was forged to shape from Fred's own twist pattern damascus. The bold pattern immediately grabs attention. A full flat grind and a small ricasso make re-sharpening a breeze.
The carved handle is formed from dark toned walnut wood. The handle is incredibly comfortable in many different grip options. Brass fittings highlight warm tones in the wood.
The knife is accompanied by a leather hand stitched sheath. Excellent work throughout!
