Description: This is among Fred Ott's master works to date. The name was inspired by the Roaring Fork River, a tributary of the Colorado River, approximately 70 miles long, in west central Colorado. This scenic river corridor is well known for abundant wild trout fishing.
The 8-1/2 inch long blade is a complex twist pattern forged from 1080 and 15N20 carbon steels. Approaching the tip, the spine arches upward into unsharpened swedge.
The curly maple handle has been nicely carved and is exceptionally comfortable to grasp. Fine silver inlay meticulously displays twisted vines and leaves. Decorative pin work completes the inlay. The handle is surrounded by antiqued, textured bronze fittings.
Accompanied by a basswood sheath wrapped in goat skin.
Tremendous fit and finish throughout!
