Description: Swedish knifemaker Greger Forselius has a flair for design and a passion for making knives. This chef's knife is sure to be a favorite in your kitchen!
The harpoon tip blade was made from stainless damascus forged by Damasteel in Sweden. The harpoon tip is a fun, playful touch! The blade was convex ground and heat treated to 60 Hrc by Greger. A convex grind assists food release, minimizing suction when slicing more delicate, moist foods. The long blade shows off the complex twist pattern damascus pattern. The light, distal tapered blade creates a perfect balance. Forselius designed this high performance knife to be tremendously light and nimble.
The handle combines presentation grade redwood burl with buckeye burl spacers. The redwood burl was carved and textured to provide a comfortable, secure grip. Thin, white fiber spacers assist the handle to adjust to changes in temperature and humidity. By using stabilized woods, Greger ensures the knife will hold up well to the high demands of either a home or commercial kitchen.
The knife is accompanied by a hand stitched leather sheath to protect the blade when it is not in use.
Excellent work throughout!
