Description: This is an elegant, hand forged fighter by Journeyman Smith Gary Rodewald. Gary is a sole authorship maker that resides in Montana and has been making knives since 1994. His passion as a bladesmith comes through in his elegant, thought out designs that are both highly functional and beautiful. This fighter is one of Gary's personal favorite designs!
The blade was forged to shape from O1 tool steel. This resilient steel will hold an exceptional edge while having good strength for chopping and heavier duty tasks. A false edge runs halfway up the blade and stops just short of being fully sharpened. The blade features an heirloom quality hand rubbed satin finish.
Stabilized koa wood scales are set to the full tang using two Corby style rivets and three pins. They are contoured to fill out the hand and provide a comfortable grip even during extended use. Stainless steel tubes in the front and rear of the handle allow for a forward lanyard to be added for extra retention.
To keep the knife close at hand, a tooled leather sheath is included.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
