Description: Allen Elishewitz is well known throughout the knife industry for producing high quality custom folders. An ex-recon marine and martial arts expert, it's no surprise Allen has produced many award-winning blades that have been featured in countless magazines. He became a member of the American Knifemakers Guild in 1994, and was the youngest Guild Member at that time. He currently serves on the Board of the Guild as a director.
The Djinn folder is a spectacular utility folder designed for daily carry and use, but would be just as comfortable in any collection. This knife has been in a private collection. It has been meticulously cared for and is in new condition. By all appearances it could have been made yesterday.
The blade is made from 154CM stainless steel and features a belt satin finish in the grinds and a hand rubbed satin finish in the flats. The blade can be easily flicked open using ambidextrous dual thumbstuds. The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth action.
The handle is constructed from ancient mammoth ivory that has been nicely domed and polished. This mammoth ivory combines cream tones with coffee veins. These colors transfer into the ivory from minerals in the ground across thousands of years of being buried. The ivory scales are set on blue anodized titanium liners that keep the knife light and fast. Satin finished stainless steel bolsters meet perfectly with the ancient ivory. Dark green barrel spacers keep the open frame lightweight and easy to clean of pocket lint.
Excellent work throughout!
