Description: This elegant folder by Jody Muller is truly as masterpiece!
The blade was forged to shape from Muller's own mosaic damascus. The swirling pattern evokes the waves of a blustering sea. It is easily opened using the right handed thumb stud.
The ancient walrus ivory handle is set on titanium liners. Extended 416 stainless steel bolsters are deeply engraved in a Viking Theme. The left bolster features a Viking langskip (war ship) billowed by a storm. These long ships were called dragonships (drakushiffen) by the Franks because they had a dragon-shaped prow. Waves beat against the side of the ship. The textured sail is inlaid with copper. Gold inlaid shields are seen over the edge of the deck. The top of the bolster is inlaid with 24K gold and engraved in Norse knot patterns. The right bolster portrays a Viking warrior ready for battle. His helm features engraved rams horns. His hair is inlaid with gold. His hands rest on the hilt of his sword. The guard is inlaid with copper details. The Norse knotwork continues from the top of the bolsters and onto the engraved backbar.
Exquisite work throughout!
